    BRP anuncia interessanti novità circa la gamma 2009 del DS 450:

    Il modello "base" sarà proposto, oltre che nella colorazione gialla classica

    mentre la versione X avrà due differenti allestimenti: MX (motocross) e XC (cross-country)

    Le due versioni X avranno le seguenti caratteristiche:

    2009 DS 450 X mx - Motocross specific X Package

    o +2-inch (51 mm) A-arms for 50-inch (1270 mm) width
    o Adjustable-width REAR axle - Adjustment from 46 (1168 mm) to 50
    inches (1270 mm) is possible with .5-inch (13 mm) spacers.
    o Camber- and caster-adjustable front end
    o Large-diameter Kashima-coated high-pressure gas shocks with dual-speed compression adjustments
    o 10.7 inches (272 mm) of suspension travel and motocross-specific ride height
    o ITP QuadCross‡ MX Pro tires on ITP T-9 Trac-Lock‡ rear wheels and T-9 GP front wheels
    o +1-inch (25 mm) anti-vibe steering stem
    o Aluminium nerf bars

    Motocross specific amenities:
    The DS 450 X mx comes complete with a tether engine shut-off switch that is a requirement at any level of motocross racing. From the factory, the ride height of the X mx is set at seven inches (178 mm) (assuming a 175-pound rider (79 kg) with
    gear), meaning exceptional cornering performance for a lower centre of gravity.

    2009 DS 450 X xc - Cross-country specific X Package

    o Caster-adjustable A-Arms
    o Adjustable-width REAR axle - Adjustment from 46 (1168 mm) to 50
    inches (1270 mm) is possible with .5-inch (13 mm) spacers.
    o Piggyback high pressure gas shocks with dual-speed compression adjustments
    o 9.6 inches (244 mm) (front) and 10.5 inches (267 mm) (rear) suspension travel
    and cross-country-specific ride height
    o ITP Holeshot‡ GNCC tires on ITP T-9 Trac-Lock‡ wheels
    o +1-inch (25 mm) anti-vibe steering stem
    o Aluminium skidplates
    o Aluminium nerf bars

    Cross-country specific amenities:
    Aluminum skid plates for the frame and swingarm are
    standard on the DS 450 X xc for added protection on demanding courses. The X xc also comes complete with a tether engine-shut-off switch that is a requirement for many local and national cross-country racing circuits. From the factory, the ride height of the X xc is set at 7.5 inches (101 mm)(assuming a 175-pound (79 kg) rider with gear), meaning exceptional cornering performance for a lower centre of gravity. Wind deflectors that feature a full-wrap aluminium brace are mounted to the handlebars.

    Le versioni preparate sono le ultime due: nel 2008 la versione X era una sola, nel 2009 ne verranno commercializzate due con caratteristiche differenti a seconda dell'uso che ne verrà fatto: Motocross o Enduro [SM=g27811]
